The ‘Skinny’ On Disney World Tickets

Last year at this time, The Walt Disney World Company decided to make visiting their parks much more difficult by introducing 64 different types of tickets. The move was made to allow visitors the option to customize their vacation to their specific budget and desires. What they have actually accomplished is confusing their guests. We at OrlandoVacation.com decided to simply explain the different ticket options you and your family have to enjoy all the magic.

Disney World Base Tickets- These are the simplest and cheapest option to enjoy Walt Disney World. You may buy these tickets in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, or 10 day options. The parks you may visit are:

• MGM Studios
• EPCOT
• Magic Kingdom
• Animal Kingdom

You may visit one of these parks for the number of days you selected.

Disney World Base Ticket with Park Hopping Option- You may visit the four major theme parks listed under the base tickets, but you have the option to jump from park to park during the day. For example, you may visit Animal Kingdom in the morning, Magic Kingdom in the afternoon, and end your day at EPCOT enjoying the wonderful firework display. This is the most popular ticket option.

Disney World Magic Your Way Plus Ticket- This ticket option allows you and your family to enjoy the Disney World Base Ticket Plus you may choose to visit the following smaller theme parks:

• Blizzard Beach Water Park
• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
• Disney Quest
• Pleasure Island
• Disney Wide World of Sports Complex

You have the option to buy 3 through 7 day tickets and a 10 day ticket is also available. On the three and four day tickets you may choose two of the extra venues listed above, on the five, six and seven day tickets you may choose 3 extra venues. The ten day ticket you may choose 5 extra venues. This is the least popular of all the ticket options.

Disney World Magic Your Way Premium Ticket- This ticket option is the most expensive, but if you really want to see all Disney World has to offer this is the ticket for you and your family. This ticket is the same as the ‘Plus” ticket with the park hopping ability. Even though this ticket is the most expensive, it definitely offers the most value.

On each one of these tickets you may add a non-expiration option. We suggest not purchasing the non-expiration option until the end of your vacation, for you may always take your tickets to the Walt Disney World customer service desk located at each one of the theme parks and add this at the end of your vacation. It is the same price to add the non-expiration at the end of your vacation as it is to add it when you purchase your tickets.
